Yvonne and Stephen Mould acquired Hyne Town House in 2002. Stephen began his career in Banking and is an Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute by qualification. For 16 years prior to taking over Hyne Town House Stephen was a Regional Director in the highly regulated Financial Services Industry. Yvonne has broad experience in public relations and marketing and ran a successful restaurant for a number of years. “ We are committed to making Hyne Town House one of the finest residential care homes in Devon “said Stephen “Our philosophy of care is simple; if our parents needed residential care, what would we want for them?”
The home is managed by Jean White B.Sc.(Hons) who has held senior management positions in residential care for 12 years. Prior to joining Hyne Town House Jean was a Group Manager for a large care organisation in the South West. Jean also specialises in dementia care. Jean works closely with the residents and staff to ensure a “home from home” atmosphere which is very much in evidence from the moment you walk through the front door. It is, as Jean explains, “Very much resident led, we provide activities and comfortable lounges where residents can socialise. However, for those wishing to enjoy the privacy of their own room they can choose to do so”
Hyne Town House offers 30 bedrooms, 27 of which enjoy en-suite facilities. The rooms are large, bright and individually decorated and furnished to a high standard. A magnificent Garden Room enables residents to enjoy spectacular sea views over the garden. Under-floor heating and high levels of insulation ensure this is a very comfortable room throughout the year.
Adjacent to the Garden Room is the Dining Room where excellent traditional meals are enjoyed. The cooks prepare locally sourced produce in the new state of the art kitchens to meet individual needs and tastes.
